Switchback or L Stair with Custom Mid-Landing Height

Sometimes you want a specific mid-landing height for switchback or L stairs. While setting a specific mid-landing height may result in a code violation, choosing a height that is close is a relatively simple process.

To set a custom mid-landing height

  1. Follow the process outlined in Using Automations Models for Custom Projects.

  2. Open the project in Inventor, and open the STM_Base assembly file.

  3. Use the iLogic Configure form to adjust the number of rises for the lower flight, until the Mid Landing Height parameter is where you would like it to be.

  4. Select the Update button in the form to initiate the configuration process.
